Meet Carley


Carley began her training in Howell, MI where her primary
focus was the Cecchetti Method of Ballet. She went on to earn her B.A.
in dance from Grand Valley State University where she graduated with
honors, and was the recipient of the Marlene Kenneway Love of Dance
Scholarship. She has had the opportunity to perform works created by
Lauren Edson, Julie Blume, Autumn Eckman, Rebecca Lemme, Anna Liceica,
Erica Fischbach, Eddy Ocampo, Tenley Dorril, Wade Schaaf, and Charles
Askegard. In addition to performing with the Grand Valley Dance Company
throughout college she also performed with The Grand Rapids Opera, and
The Plymouth-Canton Metro Shores Ballet Company. After graduating
college Carley moved to Chicago to start working with LEVELdance. Since
moving to Chicago Carley has performed with Aerial Dance Chicago as a
scholarship student, Thodos Dance Chicago in their New Dances concert,
and this past year she had the opportunity to tour to New Mexico with
Jaxon Movement Arts. This is Carley's third season dancing with Chicago
Repertory Ballet.
