chicago repertory ballet Summer Intensive

Train with a renowned faculty of CRB company members and esteemed instructors from the Chicago Dance Community! Dancers will train in ballet, pointe, variations, classical repertoire, CRB repertoire, contemporary, Pilates and more. This two week intensive is an ideal opportunity for students to hone their technique and artistry in a welcoming and nurturing environment. All dancers attending our auditions may choose to audition for our Summer Intensive Program as well as our 2026/2027 CRB Youth Training Program.

Video Audition Guidelines

Summer intensive videos must meet the following specifications

• Videos should be under 11 minutes in length in total. Videos should be shared as a link uploaded to a site such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive and will be one continuous video. Not accepted: Dropbox, iCloud, or other file sharing avenues. NO PARTIAL VIDEOS.

• All exercises listed below must be included. Exercises can be short. One side of an exercise at the barre is fine, or both sides of a short exercise accepted. Extra port de bras portions are not a necessity.

Audition videos must include the following:

Barre: Plié, Tendu from 5th, Dégagé, Rond de Jambes, Frappe, Fondu/Adagio (can be combined), Grande Battement

Center: Tendu with pirouette, Adagio, Turns en Diagonale or Waltz, Small Jump, Grande Allegro

Pointe work -or- Tours en l’air

Pointe work: Exercises that are exemplary of your current pointe work at your current level.

All Auditioners are required to send one headshot, one classical dance shot and dance resume following your registration. Please use this google form to send these materials. All photos must be in JPEG or PNG format. Resumes must be in pdf format. All audition materials must be received 24 hours prior to each audition to allow for processing time.
