ROLES
LORD CAPULET
Late 30s–Mid 40s | Tall | Regal
A commanding and powerful man who appears to have built the perfect life: respected, successful, married to Lady Capulet, and head of his family. Beneath that polished exterior, Lord Capulet is living a carefully constructed double life. He is secretly involved in a passionate affair with Lord Paris—the very man he considers as a potential suitor for his daughter, Juliet.
This role requires a performer capable of communicating authority, vulnerability, and internal conflict through both movement and character work.
Requirements: Strong classical ballet technique, Accomplished contemporary dance capabilities, and advanced pas de deux skills. Strong acting skills required.
LORD PARIS
5'8"–6' Handsome | Charismatic
A handsome, ambitious, and calculating man who understands exactly how to get what he wants. Lord Paris is a social climber and opportunist in the mold of Tom Ripley. He is willing to manipulate relationships, exploit circumstances, and cross boundaries if it means advancing his position.
Paris should possess undeniable charisma—a person audiences are drawn to.
Requirements: Strong classical ballet technique, Accomplished contemporary dance capabilities, and advanced pas de deux skills. Strong acting skills required.
MERCUTIO
Early/Mid 20s | 5'7"–5'11" | Magnetic Performer
Romeo's closest friend and the sparkplug of his social circle. Mercutio is a jokester, provocateur, and spitfire—quick-witted, irreverent, fearless, and always ready to push a situation just a little further.
Mercutio should have a magnetic stage presence. The role offers an opportunity for a dancer with a strong personality and a willingness to embrace both comedy and dramatic moments.
Requirements: Strong ballet technique, particularly “men’s technique”, including double tours and saut de basques. Strong contemporary dance skills and dynamic physicality required. Strong acting and comedic instincts essential.
